The ABC German School offers German learning experiences for all ages:
German Immersion Preschool
Our German immersion preschool program for ages 2-5 is held entirely in German.
ABC International Academy
A bilingual preschool program with integrated daily German lessons for children ages 2-5 years.
Kindergarten Pre-K
The German Pre-Kindergarten classes are for children age 4 by August 31st before the beginning school year.
Mini-Me Club Class
Early childhood development class for children 10-24 month old accompanied by a parent/caregiver.

After school German classes are intended for children ages 5-16 and are offered from 4-7pm.
Evening Classes
The ABC German School offers German language evening classes for adults of all levels.

Our 1-week long summer camps are total immersion language camps and are theme based.

ABC German Immersion Preschool
What to expect
German Immersion Preschool
ABC German Immersion Preschool offers a four-hour, fully immersive German-language program in a warm, child-centered environment. Children learn German naturally as they listen, speak, and play throughout the day. Each classroom is carefully prepared with age-appropriate toys and materials that support curiosity, creativity, and development. Our themed curriculum blends learning and play through:
- Arts and crafts
- Cooking and science projects
- Theater play
- Music and sports lessons
- Outdoor play and field trips
- Sensory fenced-in playground
A warm, nutritious lunch is served daily.
All teachers are fluent in German and hold degrees in Psychology, Early Childhood Education, and Foreign Language Teaching. Our experienced educators create a nurturing environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn.
Family Connection:
Parents stay connected through our regularly updated website, where we share curriculum highlights, school activities, holiday celebrations, and upcoming field trips. The school year runs from September through June and follows a thoughtfully designed, well-balanced curriculum. With a low 7:1 student–teacher ratio and a maximum of 14 children per class, we ensure every child receives the individual attention they deserve. Hours of care available: 9:30am – 1:30pm.
"Kindertreff": Enrichment Program and Playgroup for 2-5 year olds
The German Enrichment Program and Playgroup "Kindertreff" will include nap time or quiet time, snack, outdoor play time and games, specialty classes every week and themed crafts. Specialty or Enrichment classes will be Sport and Movement classes, Art classes, Music and Science classes alternating weekly. This program is meant in addition to our regular Preschool and Pre-K program.

What to expect
Bilingual Preschool
ABC International Academy is a 4-hour bilingual preschool program conducted primarily in English with daily German language instruction. Children are gently immersed in both languages in a warm, child-friendly environment where they hear, speak, and learn English and German through everyday activities and play. Classrooms are equipped with age-appropriate toys and learning materials tailored to each individual class. Theme-based craft, cooking, and science projects support cognitive development and early academic skills while encouraging creativity and curiosity. The program also includes:
- Theatre play and dramatic expression
- Music & Sport lessons
- Field trips
- Outdoor play and gardening projects in a fenced-in yard with a playground
Children are served a warm lunch daily.

Curriculum
Our Pre-K program curriculum at the ABC German School is centered around language learning in German while building skills necessary for Kindergarten in the subjects of reading, math, science, social studies and the arts. Students are taught to think, both logically and creatively, while immersed in a rich cultural environment.

Mini-Me Classes for
Children 10-24 Month
Three-dimensional learning at an early age:
Focusing on muscle control, motor skill development and coordination. Supporting color recognition, German language development and number & letter recognition.
Fostering independence, sharing, cooperation, discovery and early interaction development. Themed around seasons/holidays/traditions/yoga/crafts.
This 90 minute-indoor/outdoor class is limited to 5 children & parent/caregiver.

"German is Fun!": For Beginning and Intermediate Students
We are excited to offer "German is Fun" Beginner and Intermediate students, ages 5-14 at the ABC German School in Bellevue. New materials have been developed for these particular classes, which include exercises, copies and hands-on learning tools geared towards your child's language level. There will be a lot more German conversation, but the curriculum also includes writing and reading for the older and more advanced children.

Summer Camps 2026
What to expect
themed summer camps
The ABC German School offers Immersion German language summer camps for children ages 3-8. The children broaden their knowledge and understanding of German in a playful way through songs, games, and stories with engaging themes. They will make new friends and experience language learning in a natural, child-friendly indoor/outdoor environment.
Each week has its own theme with crafts, songs and games to match the weekly topic. Children will be provided daily with a warm lunch and drinks (included in the price).

Horse Camp
Saddle up for an unforgettable summer at our Horse Camp!
This playful camp introduces children to the wonderful world of horses through stories, crafts,
games, music, and hands-on fun. Little campers will learn all about horses, practice pony-themed
movement activities, and explore farm life with plenty of imagination and outdoor play. The
Horse Camp is a magical way for children to build confidence, make new friends, and enjoy a
summer adventure—one trot at a time!

Alle Vögel sind schon da!
Bird Camp
Birds eat worms, and so will we (gummy worms) during this fun-filled and engaging week! You
will learn about different bird species and their behavior, play in a life-size “nest" and a life-size
“birdhouse," and even learn how to build a nest. Our ABC Birds will make their own “bird” food
for snacking and energy while playing games and doing crafts. But remember: all birds must
leave their feathers at school when they are picked up at the end of the day! If all this appeals to
you, come and experience a "bird-filled" week with us! -Piep-Piep!

Wir gehen auf Entdeckungsreise!
Wild Animal Camp
Caution, exciting! – Discovering Dangerous Animals! During this exciting week, we'll playfully
explore the world of dangerous animals. We'll learn about fascinating insects, mysterious
amphibians, impressive wild cats, intriguing marine animals, and native animals from
Washington. Through age-appropriate stories, crafts, active games, and plenty of wonder,
children will learn why these animals can be dangerous – and how to approach them with respect
and curiosity. An educational summer full of adventure and discovery awaits!

Career Camp
We're embarking on an exciting journey through the world of professions! Whether it's cooking
delicious dishes as a chef, flying into space as an astronaut, or putting out fires as a firefighter,
and much more – we'll try it all! Through games, crafts, and plenty of physical activity, we'll
foster imagination, teamwork, and self-confidence. A summer week full of fun, learning, and big
dreams awaits our little career explorers!

Camp 5: Felix' Weltabenteuer
Travel Camp
Hop around the world with Felix, the bunny! We will pack our suitcases and zoom off to
different continents using silly stories, catchy songs, movement games, colorful crafts, and fun

collect postcards, treasures, and happy memories from his big adventure!

Space Camp
Get ready to zoom into a week of imagination, movement, and make-believe! In 3…2…1…
Blast Off! We will become astronauts, planets, stars, and friendly aliens as we explore outer
space through play-based drama, storytelling, music, and art. Each day, children will blast off on
a new space adventure - walking on the moon, twinkling like stars, and orbiting like planets.

What to expect
Our birthday parties for children ages 1-10 are action-packed. Parties are in German and/or English. We create the perfect celebration, designed with your child's favorite activities and unique, age-appropriate birthday games and adventures in mind.
We provide 2 hours of nonstop fun and the entire party would center on your child as the "star" of all activities. Our experienced staff handles everything including the planning, decorating, setup, entertainment and, of course, cleanup!! You would have exclusive use of our homelike, child friendly facility including a large fenced-in outdoor playground!
Our party package includes: 1 teacher to lead your child's party, cake plates, forks and cups for the children, art and crafts, game supplies. All you provide is the Birthday cake, napkins and decorations if you wish!
Please let us know the date you are looking for, so we can check availability! We require a $100 non-refundable deposit to reserve a party date.
Cost: $250/2 hours (1-10 children), $350/2 hours (10-20 children).
